The Nevada Building Hope Foundation recognized the need for a teacher’s house in San Juan de Yanayacu. With a safe and stable home, they can teach the children daily well-rested and without the stress of unstable living accommodations. The construction of the teacher’s house was completed In August 2025.
In 2025, The Mark and Carol Zemmell Foundation for the Human and Animal Connection funded the construction of the teacher’s house in the community of San Juan de Yanayacu. There are currently two teachers and the principal living comfortably in their new house.
FUTURE PROJECT – A TEACHER’S HOUSE IN AYACUCHO VILLAGE
There is also great need for a teacher’s house in Ayacucho Village. This house would provide a safe and comfortable living space for the kindergarten, primary school, and high school teachers.
