Grand Amazon Lodge

Grand Amazon Lodge is the furthest lodge on the Yanayacu River. It is located on a remote part of the river, thus limiting the noise of traffic passing by the lodge.  It was constructed with conservation and sustainability principles in mind, including the use of solar panels and the internet. Due to the location and capabilities of the lodge, Grand Amazon Lodge was chosen by the Discovery Channel for their production of the Season Naked and Afraid XL: The Next Level.

The Grand Amazon Lodge was founded by five scientists: Patrizia Marchese, Yair Aizenman, their sons Dani and Gabriel Aizenman, and Peruvian biologist Alfredo Dosantos. Since the opening of the Grand Amazon Lodge, the founders have implemented and partnered in numerous conservation and educational programs partnering with Nevada Building Hope Foundation (NBHF) and the Rainforest Awareness Rescue Education Center (RAREC)
